Update on Salt - We are on the wait list for over a 2 weeks with a shipment that is supposedly coming in any day and we have been told by another supplier they do not expect to have any salt the remainder of this season.
Our Salt Suppliers have frozen the Salt piles and are restricting sales to Contractors and only selling to Muncipalities. We have taken what we have for salt and made treated sand so that we will have enough materials to treat parking lots for the upcoming snow.
We will have salt as soon as our suppliers make it available.
We have received a notice from one of the Salt Suppliers stating
"Due to unprecedented winter weather and states of emergency declared by our governmental customers, Morton Salt, Inc. is ceasing all commercial activities effective immediately. Public safety is the priority.
All standing commercial orders will be cancelled. No new orders will be accepted."
